Cryoliposis

Cryolipolysis is a medical treatment used to destroy fat cells.
It is a non-surgical procedure that uses a controlled device to freeze and destroy fat.

Cryo-lipolysis cools the fat cells in the targeted area. The fat cells in the subcutaneous tissues under dermis are mostly saturated fatty acid rich cells, which are highly sensitive to the cold. In contrast, surrounding items such as veins, peripheral nervous system, melanocytes or fibrocytes are slightly sensitive to cooling. This feature clearly results in fat cell necrosis without damaging the surrounding tissues.

Effect of cavitation breaks the fat, and then contents of fat cell are released into interstitial fluid. Emulsified fat is transported to liver during normal metabolic processes and it is removed from the body.
